We are based in Ålesund, Norway. Our work brings environmental knowledge, geospatial data and software development together, with a practical aim: helping people understand a place and talk about its future.

Research, brought into view.

We work with universities, public authorities and innovation partners through European programmes including RESIST, ORION and Re-Value. Research digital twins bring project data and scientific work into a shared view, so research partners can explore and discuss it together.

Our work draws on environmental science, remote sensing, geospatial analysis, architecture and software development. We work closely with academic and public partners across Europe.

From offshore simulation to planning together.

Our roots are in Ålesund’s maritime industry. In 2004, Offshore Simulator Centre began building simulators that let offshore crews rehearse demanding operations before heading out to sea. In 2019, AugmentCity grew out of that expertise to bring simulation and visualisation to cities, with Ålesund municipality as an early partner. That work took us into the United for Smart Sustainable Cities (U4SSC) Implementation Programme and into European research on climate resilience, urban development and renewable energy. In 2026, a new team set out to rebuild the platform around one purpose: helping everyone in a project understand the same place and plan together. The new generation had its soft launch in July 2026.
